Kyrgyz Republic

The Kyrgyz Republic is the EFSD founding state:

- Kyrgyz Republic’s contribution to the EFSD is US$1 million;

- Kyrgyz Republic’s access limit in the EFSD is US$255.39 million (3% of total assets of the Fund).

The authorized representative of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Council of the Fund is the Minister of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic — Adylbek A. Kasymaliev.

The member of EFSD Expert Council from Kyrgyzstan is Director of the Directorate for Government investments and Technical Assistance, Ministry of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic - Kubat S. Murzaev.

On 27 November 2014 the EFSD Council approved the preliminary request submitted by Investment and Trade Business Holding OJSC and the Concept Note for the investment project of Distribution Network Infrastructure Construction to Export Agricultural Produce from the Kyrgyz Republic to the Customs Union Member States (DNI Project). US $25 million are going to be mobilised from the EFSD.

On 2 July 2014 the EFSD Council approved concept notes and preliminary applications of the Kyrgyz Republic related to two investment porojects: Energy Sector Rehabilitation. Phase 2. Toktogul HPP Rehabilitation Component: replacement of the second and fourth turbine-generator units with replacement/rehabilitation of auxiliary systems and powerhouse equipment in the amount of US$ 75 million and Commissioning of the Second Hydroelectric Unit in Kambaratinskaya HPP-2 in the amount of US$ 80 million.

On 20 March 2014 EDB and Kyrgyz Republic signed the Agreements on financing  the Bishkek-Osh Road Rehabilitation Project, Phase IV in the amount of US$ 60 million and the Agricultural Machinery Supplies to Kyrgyz Republic in the amount of US$ 20 million with EFSD resources. On 27 December 2013 the EFSD Council approved two applications of the Kyrgyz Republic for the Bishkek-Osh Road Rehabilitation Project, Phase IV in the amount of US$ 60 million and for the Agricultural Machinery Supplies to Kyrgyz Republic in the amount of US$ 20 million.
