The EDB makes changes to its management bodies
Moscow, 6 May 2019. The Council of the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) resolved to appoint a Deputy Chairman of the Management Board and introduce new members to the Management Board.
Marat Kussainov was appointed as Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of the EDB.
Marat Kussainov has a PhD in economics awarded by Lomonosov Moscow State University, and also holds a degree in industrial planning from the Alma-Ata Institute of National Economy and a degree in public administration from the President of Kazakhstan’s National Higher School of Public Administration. From 2014 to 2017, he was First Deputy Minister of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and from 2017 to 2019 he served as the Eurasian Economic Commission’s Member of the Board and Minister in charge of Competition and Antitrust Regulation.
The composition of the EDB's Management Board also changed. The new members of the Board are Dmitry Ladikov-Roev, Managing Director for Assets and Liabilities; Aigul Mukhamadiyeva, Managing Director and Head of the Directorate for Natural Resources and Agriculture; and Vsevolod Smakov, Head of Industry and Energy.
The Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) is an international financial institution founded by Russia and Kazakhstan in January 2006 with the mission to facilitate the development of market economies, sustainable economic growth, and the expansion of mutual trade and other economic ties in its member states. The EDB's charter capital totals US $7 billion. The member states of the Bank are the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, and the Republic of Tajikistan.
